Le concepteur : Mehdi Laieb
Born in Paris Mehdi Laieb Franco-Canadian since 1999. Mehdi has an international academic training which he earned at Vivendi-Universal (Vinci group since 2000) His 10 years at Vivendi alloed him to work with a bunch of different world renown projects.

His beginning working at the engineering and design department and having to overcome a few lighting challenges made him developed a passion for lighting. In 1994 he was promoted lighting designer for the project of les galleries du carroussel du Louvre, then he worked with SDEL in 2000 for the illumination of the Eiffel tower. He also worked on the SG tower, EDF and kupka and in 1996 a big challenge, the technocenter Renault in Guyancourt.

He came to Canada in 1999 having in mind to create his own company to bring to America a new European touch. His goal is to bring up the architecture of a building by adding the proper lighting.

Many designs have been made for car dealers like GM, KIA, Mitsubishi Canada and Honda qc. Because of these projects, Ombrages, a branch of Les Consultants FBG has been able to shine. These clients are the best promoters of our know how.

2005 was a big year for Ombrages… at the end of 2005 a few projects were on the table…Ombrages participated in a few design contest with IESNa, AFE and ELDA…
